Projects in Action

At Yanget Farm, we have had multiple field days and interested parties come to Yanget to understand the methods and results we are producing.

With the likes of universities, scientists, government departments, ministers, the current premier, local farmer and TAFE (involving indigenous youths and Clontarf College), we have movement on projects on a larger scale that connects environmental, social and cultural in one venture.

Currently there is a $250,000 Government grant for demonstration site on the Chapman River Geraldton, WA. It involves 8 farmers along one catchment/river system to begin earthworks for rehydration and regeneration of their own landscape. The program is purely based on the 15 years of learnings of earthworks and creek-bed regeneration at Yanget Farm.

A second site at the top of the Gascoyne River has now been approved for restoration which involves some land owned by an aboriginal community in Burringarrah.

Rod O'Bree, Founder and Owner of Yanget & Co, with Mark McGowan the WA Premier.
